Nuclear green polyethylene (MIL-DTL-24466C) is a contaminant free barrier product used in government applications and other operations needing a certified, clean, US Navy-certified, mercury-free barrier material for prevention of rust and deterioration of stainless steel parts in a nuclear facility. Parts must be wrapped and packaged in heat sealed, clean, pigmented green, polyethylene envelopes which should be at least 4mil thick (6 mil nominal).
