Water becomes an even more precious commodity after a natural disaster such as a hurricane or earthquake or after a man-made problem. Water supplies can become contaminated, and the loss of electricity can prevent the running of an electric pump. Reliable storage of emergency water supplies is thus an essential component of hurricane preparedness. The Aquatank 1 and Aquatank 2 were designed with this problem in mind.
The general consensus is that 1 or 2 gallons of water per person per day is necessary for earthquake or hurricane preparedness. This number does not include water for cooking or bathing. In the past, a common emergency water storage solution was a 55-gallon drum. However, a traditional 55-gallon drum is too bulky and space consuming. Even when empty, a 55-gallon drum can monopolize the storage capacity of some buildings.
The Aquatank is the ideal water storage alternative to 55-gallon or smaller drums. The Aquatank 1 and 2 water containers are compact and easily stored, using no more space than a pizza box before being filled with water. Aquatank water containers and water bags are manufactured with FDA-approved, food-grade material as an economical solution for storing and transporting water.

Aquatank 2 bags are an enhanced version of the food grade white copolymer Aquatank 1, our standard unit . The material used for the Aquatank II, is a heavier duty food grade polyurethane coated nylon, that is more puncture resistant, more durable, and more compact when stored. It will not wrinkle, crease or crack and is very flexible material.
